Obesity and Global Warming

According to some study out of London, Obesity causes Global Warming.  I don’t know, it may be true.  Obese people are usually warmer than skinny people.  Have you ever sat in a chair after a really fat person sat in it?  The seat is really warm.

Barbara Walter’s Book

By now, I am sure you have all heard about Barbara Walter’s book.  In it, she divulges a lot of information about an affair she had and the whole mess on The View.  I really don’t care, but either way, her book did well.  She was a trailblazer for women.  She paved the way for Katie Couric to anchor the CBS Evening News (and have crappy ratings).  Yes, women in the Journalism Business have come a long way.

Edwards Endorses Obama

The long awaited endorsement of Sentator Barack Obama by former Senator John Edwards finally happened.

From CNN.com:

Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards endorsed Sen. Barack Obama on Wednesday at a campaign event in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John Edwards in a CNN sponsored debate in South Carolina in January.

"The reason I’m here tonight is because the Democratic voters have made their choice, and so have I," he told the boisterous crowd.

"There is one man who knows and understands that this is a time for bold leadership. There is one man that knows how to create the change, the lasting change, that you have to build from the ground up," Edwards said. "There is one man who knows in his heart there is time to create one America, not two … and that man is Barack Obama."

Does anyone really believe this means anything? After all, John Edwards still has a lot of baggage left over from the 2004 Pres. campaign.

Is It Time For Hill To Drop Out???

Hillary got trounced Tuesday night.

Too be fair, she won IN and lost NC, which would seem to the casual observer as an OK night.  But take a look at the margins, and you know that Hillary got beat up bad.  She lost NC by 14 points, and only won IN by 2.  These margins are not good at all, as she was expected to lose by much less in NC and win by more in IN.

Apparently, however, she is not dropping out yet.  Who knows.  In her speech last night, she hinted a bit at working to help whoever the dem nominee is, but most of the speech was about how she is best for America (typical stuff).  The next two primaries (in WV and KY) are ones she can win by big margins. She still has some fight in her, so don’t expect her to go anywhere just yet.

Plus, she just lent an additional 6 million bucks to her campaign.  That makes about eleven mil so far.  Rumor has it that she is working out a deal to get the Obama campaign to pay off the debt for her.  A similar situation was set up earlier in the race, with Hillary Clinton paying off Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack’s debt in exchange for his support.
