Hillary got trounced Tuesday night.
Too be fair, she won IN and lost NC, which would seem to the casual observer as an OK night. But take a look at the margins, and you know that Hillary got beat up bad. She lost NC by 14 points, and only won IN by 2. These margins are not good at all, as she was expected to lose by much less in NC and win by more in IN.
Apparently, however, she is not dropping out yet. Who knows. In her speech last night, she hinted a bit at working to help whoever the dem nominee is, but most of the speech was about how she is best for America (typical stuff). The next two primaries (in WV and KY) are ones she can win by big margins. She still has some fight in her, so don’t expect her to go anywhere just yet.
Plus, she just lent an additional 6 million bucks to her campaign. That makes about eleven mil so far. Rumor has it that she is working out a deal to get the Obama campaign to pay off the debt for her. A similar situation was set up earlier in the race, with Hillary Clinton paying off Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack’s debt in exchange for his support.
