Remembering Russert

Last Friday was a sad day for America.  We lost one of the greatest journalists on all time.  Tim Russert was more than just a great journalist.  He was also a great father, son, husband, and role-model.  He was one of the good guys.

I found this tribute by a role-model of mine to be apropos:

  1. Tim will be greatly missed.

BTW, I will not be speculating about his replacement on this blog yet. However, I will say this: I am pulling for Tom Brokaw.

  2. Yes, speculation does upset certain people, as we know.

I’ve been thinking about a news-related subject, and don’t know if it’s worthy of it’s own blog(assuming such does not exist). People who have been subject to ’stories du jour’, as I call them(Schaivo, etc), or other smaller-scale news stories. It is a form of fame, and screws with the head in a similar fashion. Can’t see myself committing to much, just interested in any thoughts. —May cut/paste this over to Spud.

  3. Now TVNewser is saying that Brian Williams will fill in this Sunday. I think that is a good idea. However, they will need to name someone permanent soon.
