The Media’s Pathetic Palin Narrative
The liberal bias of the mainstream media (MSM) has been well documented. Daily, sites like newbusters.org and bigjournalism.com document the disturbing and lazy bias of the media elites. And for some reason, elitist journalists have special contempt for Sarah Palin and the tea party movement.
First, let’s examine the media’s hatred of Sarah Palin. Perhaps hate is a strong word, but you get the point. If anything, they enjoy mocking her and using her as a way to attack conservative/libertarian/constitutionalist policy proposals. The most recent example of bias against Sarah Palin is the way the media has attacked her Tea Party Convention speech and Q&A session. Specifically, it is claimed that her speech sucked and she used notes written on her hand during the Q&A. As far as I’m concerned the speech was pretty mediorce, but it was what the convention-goers wanted to hear. As for the words written on her hand for the Q&A (energy, tax cut, and lift American spirits), what’s the big deal? So Sarah wrote a few words on her hand to refer to during a Q&A (broadcast across the country on cable news). SO WHAT. Barry Obama, on the other hand, needs a f^cking teleprompter just to speak at an Elementary School. The media relentlessly mocked her, including an "unbiased" reporter like Andrea Mitchell:
Notice that MSNBC has Ed Shultz, an uber-liberal talk show host, anchoring the speech. PATHETIC!
By the way, I think I know why the MSM is ok with Barry Obumbles’ use of a teleprompter. THEY USE ONE ALL THE TIME TOO. Hell, they pretty much just read words off a teleprompter for a living, so of course they will defend the President as much as possible. Why, I wonder, did the media not mock President Obama when he read "Corpsman" off the prompter and pronounced it "Corpse-man." Does he know anything about the military? Some would say it is a Freudian slip since he is sending the troops into battle with their hands tied behind their backs with restrictive rules of engagement, so perhaps they are corpse men.
As far as the media’s attacks on the Tea Parties, the use of the term "teabagger" has been discussed elsewhere.
